EDMONTON- Edmonton Jazz Festival Society (EJFS) continues connecting Edmonton and Alberta through music with the annual summer jazz festival. Starting today, tickets for the festival Headliner, jazz and pop trumpet sensation Chris Botti, and world-renowned musicians in the Marquee Series, are now on sale. TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival starts Wednesday June 28 and runs until Sunday July 2 live and in person in a variety of venues across Edmonton, including outdoors at Victoria Park.

“TD Edmonton International Jazz Festival remains committed to featuring international, national, and Edmonton-based jazz musicians,” says Festival Producer Kent Sangster. “This year, as in previous years, we are excited to present some musicians who transcend jazz and have found success in other mediums such as pop, rock, and hip-hop. We hope you will join us in experiencing all jazz has to offer.”

"TD is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the Edmonton Jazz Festival for the ninth consecutive year," said Robert Ghazal, Prairie Region Head and Senior Vice President, TD Bank Group. "Through the TD Ready Commitment, our corporate citizenship platform, we aim to support music, arts and cultural initiatives that reflect diverse voices and bring people together."

$40 + SF | $30 + SF Youth Under 25

Explosive stage presence isn't enough to describe the way Nik West moves, wows, and shocks crowds everywhere. She is a real life gumby on stage, all while singing, dancing, and slapping the hell out of her bass guitar! With credits including work with artists such as, Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame, Prince, John Mayer, Glee and more, bassist, singer and songwriter Nik West is anything more than just another pretty face.

Saxophonist Léon Phal is part of the young generation of jazz musicians fed on the classics from which he frees himself while paying homage. Every note is played with brio whether it is the RH Factor of Roy Hargrove or the " Voodoo" by D'Angelo. Surrounded by his lifelong accomplices, his mastery of the instrument, his incredible sense of melody, and the delicacy of his compositions amplified by a devastating groove, expect a bright future for this Franco-Swiss from Champagne.
